Birchbox Full Size Order #01

Yay! I made my first full size Birchbox order. 😀 I’ve been saving up points and have only recently made this order to cash out some of those points! Full disclosure, I have three accounts and between them, I have racked up a good amount of points that I like to convert into gift cards for safekeeping and all that. But let’s see what I ordered!

Bodum Pavina 12 oz Double Wall Glasses ($20) – I got these for my parents’ upcoming anniversary in July! These are really nice and a lot lighter than you might think! They really keep hot things hot and cold things cold.  My mom loves her Bodum Bistro mug (15 oz) and so I thought she would also enjoy this for drinks other than coffee and tea. 😉 My dad will probably use this less but it comes as a nice set and men are always harder to buy for anyway. :p

Jonathan Adler Metallic Zebra Dish in Silver ($32) – I’ve been wanting this since I saw people get it in the Neiman Marcus Popsugar Must Have Limited Edition box! So I’ve kept an eye on this one in the Birchbox shop. (It actually used to be $30 but recently went up in price to $32). In any case, now that I have it… I think it’s definitely really pretty. I kind of love it and kind of really want to buy another one in silver… or gold. I’m not sure yet.

Women’s Mystery Sample Pack ($10) – If you’ve ordered from Birchbox before, hopefully you know that these are free with any order of $35+. So I would always try to order at least $35 worth of stuff so as to get two free samples! This time I got Supergoop and the Hydration Lock Chapstick. Not the most exciting, but! I’ve been wanting a spare of the chapstick so I’m happy with this. I’ll probably trade the Supergoop or something. (Yes, it’s really bad… but I don’t wear sunscreen unless I’m swimming outdoors).

My Birchbox haul! Are you surprised that I didn’t get anything related to beauty or makeup? :p I’ll be honest, I’m only really into skin care and hair care… and even then, I don’t go all out with either category. But in any case, when I make a really big order in the future, you can be sure that I’ll be ordering some skin care items that I’ve sampled and loved!

So how much did I pay out of pocket for this order? Only $1.60! After careful calculations and factoring in promo codes + gift cards that I had… I managed to get it down to $1.60. If the zebra dish hadn’t gone up $2 in price, I would have paid $0 out of pocket, but hey, I’ll take it! 😀

I can’t wait to show you guys my next full size order… because I paid even less and got even more with it. 😉
