I was again lucky enough to be asked by Memebox to review yet another one of their boxes! This is the Memebox Special #26  and it retails for $23.00 + shipping. Unfortunately this box is already sold out.

Here’s a description of the box:

“Put your best hands forward!

Our hands and nails are so neglected! From washing loads of post-dinner dishes to picking open lipstick packaging and applying and removing nail polishes, our hands and nails go through daily abuse that will eventually lead us to have withered zombie fingers.

At Memebox, we believe that healthy and pretty hands are a girl’s best accessory, that hands should be as smooth as a baby’s bottom and that crazy manis are the best pick-me-up for any crappy day!

So, treat and moisturize hands and nails to prevent early signs of aging, strengthen and pamper nails to perfection to create that impeccable nail salon-done look!”

One thing I really like about Memebox is that they almost always send out full size products so that you can really get to see if you like a certain product or if it will really work for you! However, sometimes they will just send out one mask or other one-time use items, but I really don’t mind because it just makes them all that more indulgent!

This box contained 7 items, all of which are full size!

Pure Skin Hand Care Pack (1 pack/15 g, $4) – I think I’m going to gift this to my mom for Christmas as part of her present! She’s recently started using masks, so she’ll probably have fun using a “mask” for her hands. This set of gloves is made with all sorts of good stuff such as grape extracts, witch hazel, grapefruit extracts, collagen, baobab tree extracts, and olive leak extracts!

Sur 3D Nail Art Kit [3D & Magnet Emerald 12 ml & Nail Art Pen Silver 7 ml] ($29) – Okay. You guys know I don’t like wearing nail polish so I usually bemoan the fact that subscription boxes send them out so frequently. I kind of guessed that there would be nail polish in this specific box because it’s centered around Hand & Nail Care and was resigned to the fact. BUT… but… this particular nail polish is pretty freaking awesome.

Not only does it come with a full size nail polish, it also comes with a nail art pen! This was you can really make some amazing nail art designs. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and here are the results, from whichbeautyboxuk.com. You can actually use the magnet they included to get the lines to go the way you want them to! If you’re a nail polish lover, I think this kind of makes the entire box.

Pure Plus Hydrogel Moisturizing Nail Patch (2.5 g, $8) – This is definitely something I’m keeping for myself to use! My nails aren’t in terrible condition, but I definitely think they could be better. These little miracle patches are enriched with collagen, milk, pearl powder, gold, and paraffin. PEARL POWDER. GOLD. Haha, I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but it also sounds amazingly luxurious.

with shan Dr. Care Set [Dr. 01 15 ml & Paper File] ($13) – This is also something I should totally use because it’s an emergency kit for your split and broken nails. While none of mine are split nor broken, I think I need to start taking better care of my nails in general. I really don’t do anything to them. XD This strengthens from the roots and it’s a long term regime that I should get into the habit of. Plus, it’ll be fun to “paint” my nails without actually painting them. :p

Barbinie Shea Butter Hand Cream (50 ml, $18) – This is such a wonderful hand cream! I was so happy to receive the White Lily scent instead of Rose Water (blech) or Violet Musk (meh). The packaging is beautiful and reminds me of L’Occitane products. I love hand creams when the scent isn’t overwhelming and the formula is just right so this is pretty darn awesome.

Shara Shara Soft Hand Gommage (50 ml, $6) – I haven’t opened this yet, but it’s a gentle and moisturizing peeling gel that is supposed to work wonders for dry and callused hands by getting rid of hardened calluses and skin impurities! I think this could be fun to try because I’m usually not as scared of using new products on my hands as opposed to my face. XD

with shan Baby Hand Set [Treatment Oil 15 ml & Nail Wall File] ($9) – You could have received either vanilla or lemon and as you can see from the yellow in my bottle, I received lemon! I would have been happy with either because both scents are usually hits for me. This nourishes and softens the calluses and cuticles on your nails. But the way you use it is kind of interesting because you’re supposed to first put a drop on your nails and then also soak the nail file in the oil before using it to file away the hardened parts of your nails.

I’m not sure if I’ll use this the way it’s intended to be used because I might just end up putting some on my nails without bothering with the nail file and then call it a day. :p

Memebox Special #26 Hand and Nail Care!

Overall value: $87.00

Overall enjoyment: I think that this box was pretty on point! The products are all nicely varied but also all match with the theme. A “con” might be the fact that there are 2 one-time use products, but I think the rest of the box more than makes up for it! The hand cream, the peeling gel, the nail polish, and the two nail care products will all last long enough to decide whether or not they’re effective for you!
