June 2015 Golden Tote Review

So I went with the large tote this month and I had an awesome stylist in KB! She really knocked it out of the park for me with this tote and I hope I get her again for my July tote… 😉 (yes I ordered another tote, hehehe).

Chosen #1 – the Pretty Pleated Blouse in Dusty Blue. I really, really love how this looks on me but it seriously crushes my chest. XD I totally would have sized up if I knew, but it’s definitely still worth keeping because I love the color. Plus it’ll be motivation for me to try and lose a few pounds, right? 😉

The back has a zipper!

Chosen #2 – the Casual Chic Romper in Grey/Black. I have never owned a romper but this looked too soft and comfortable to pass up! I’m not completely sure I like how it fits (the fabric kind of falls at the wrong places), but it honestly is so freaking comfortable. I was kind of on the fence with this one, but… I ended up trading it away for a Puella swing tank in oat (WHICH I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH).

I love the way the back looks and  wish it looked better on me. XD

Surprise #1 – Miss Love Tank with Flutter Sleeves. I wanted to love this, I really did. But it fits so terribly on me that I just can’t justify keeping it. XD Seriously, I looked bloated wearing this because it’s 100% polyester with no give and it was not a good look. Thankfully, I’ve already traded this away! (for the Dinner Date Dress from a while back)

Surprise #2 – Hem & Thread Striped Top Maxi Dress. OMG, I am in love with this maxi! I actually did not own a single maxi before this one because I’m 5’3″ and it’s hard to find maxis in styles that I like and that don’t need to be hemmed. XD But this fits perfectly (the bottom of the maxi just hits a little above the ground) and I love the colors! I put that I love grey/blue/black in my profile and KB definitely delivered.

I seriously love this maxi. *____*

Surprise #3 – Chris & Carol Floral Tank with Button Back in Charcoal. This is an item that I never would have picked out for myself but now that I have it, I love it. XD Seriously KB did an amazing job with my surprise items! Not only is the floral print set beautifully against that backdrop of charcoal grey, the tank itself is crazy soft. It is like Puella-levels of softness!

The back detail is awesome too! Look at those buttons!

Seriously awesome.

Surprise #4 – Naked Zebra Crossback Tee with Pocket in Blue. Also love this! Yup, give me all of the comfortable tops in blue or grey or black. XD This also fits wonderfully and I love the detail in the back. The color is almost identical to the pretty pleated blouse, which is awesome IMO because I can wear one for more casual outings and the other for work.

Surprise #5/GT CS is the best – So originally I had chosen the Cool and Casual Tank (instead of the Pretty Pleated Blouse), but then Jen (Golden Tote CS) contacted me and apologized saying that there was a warehouse error and the Cool and Casual Tank was OOS. So long story short, I got this extra item (WHICH I ALSO WANTED TO LOVE) as an apology. (how awesome is GT CS?) It’s Esley and a rather heavy dress. XD The first thing I thought of was Shakira, for some reason, IDK. Unfortunately it made me look like a hot air balloon, so I traded it away from a different dress that was much more me. 🙂 (I traded it for this Potter’s Pot Tee dress – photo from MSA swap boards)

I really liked the colors (blue is my favorite!) on this one though.
