This quarter’s theme was based on the movie, Elf! (which I have never seen, haha oops?)

Buddy Fortune Cookie Soap With notes of holiday fruits, candy, crushed vanilla, and a hint of mint.

I immediately get a lot of the holiday fruits (what does that really mean, though?) and candy when I smell this. The scent kind of reminds me of some kind of artificial candy… almost like rainbow Twizzlers? I don’t know. But it smells like pure candy (I kind of get banana?) crossed with rubber/plastic. I’m not sure if I like this or not, but it’s definitely something different from FCS’ usual scents. My fortune says “What’s a Christmas gram? I want one.”

And my fortune.

Swirly Twirly Gumdrops OCD Hand Sanitzer A sweet and whimsical blend of cotton candy, lemon drops, and fresh pear nectar, dancing with tart cranberries and black currants.

Honestly, this just smells like berries to me. I don’t get the cotton candy, lemon drops, or fresh pear nectar. This scent was a lot subtler than I thought it would be and maybe it’s because of the black currants, but it has a slight musty smell. I think it reminds me of some kind of Bath and Body Works scent.

A berry color indeed.

World’s Best Cup of Coffee Whipped Cream – Vermont maple syrup, with just the right amount of fresh brewed coffee.
This one’s a little too heavy on the maple syrup for me, but if you enjoy that syrupy goodness, then this scent is definitely for you. The coffee is more of an afterthought, in my opinion and it kind of reminds me of a Tim Horton’s ice cap.

Be careful not to leave it out where an unsuspecting friend might accidentally taste some. :p

Shower Duet Shave OilSpruce and vanilla, fir and fruits, hyacinth and mint.
This is a new product for FCS! It is a very clean and fresh scent, but unfortunately the spruce, fir and mint overpower everything so it’s kind of a little too overwhelming for me. You can kind of get the sweetness from the fruits and just the smallest hint of floral but overall, it’s very Christmas tree, if you know what I mean. The oil itself is very moisturizing and my skin definitely felt softer immediately after I put some on. But somehow, the dry down smells really good because the spruce and fir and mint have faded away. So I’m kind of undecided on this one. 😄

Christmas Gram Face PlantWarm steamy air, fresh with lavender and sea salt spray, mingle with the woody earthiness of sage and dark vanilla.
Another new FCS product! It’s basically another form of aromatherapy that will help open your pores and help relax you. I love this scent! Actually, I just love every single scent that FCS has put out with lavender. I don’t know how they do it, but all of their scents that have lavender are amazing. I can’t wait to try this in a lot of other different products because it smells amazing.

Yellow Snow Bath BombA juicy blend of ripe plums, whipped caramel, vanilla jasmine, and exotic woods, with just a squeeze of zesty Mandarin oranges.
This reminds me of last year’s winter box’s Fried Pussycat crossed with Bunny Vomit. (Yes, both of those are actual names of FCS scents!) I get a lot of the Mandarin oranges and plums/caramel. It’s actually quite a soothing scent when all the notes come together.

FCS Cheer Perfume OilRich, buttery vanilla pound cake, over dark frankincense, patchouli, and cedar.
As I expected… I did not like this one at all. 😄 I’m not a fan of “foodie” scents because they just don’t react well with my skin chemistry and I’m not really excited about smelling like food. I like eating food, not smelling like food. :p On top of that… I hate patchouli so this was never going to work for me. But I do love FCS’ perfume oils because they sell a “naked” line where it’s their products without any scent so you can do whatever you want with your own perfume oils.

Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins Dry ShampooA blend that bursts with lilies, freesia, jasmine, and bayberry, muddled with fresh blackberries and plums, garnished with a sprig of peppermint.
Due to popular demand, FCS brought back their dry shampoo! This is my first time trying it and I think it works relatively well! Beware the sparkles though. :p I love this scent too! I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s fresh and floral in a really good way. I can’t wait to get this in a linen spray or a personal space because it’s really calming and soothing, just like the Christmas Gram scent. I think this is tied with Christmas Gram for my #1 favorite scent in this box.

They also included a mini candy cane for the holiday spirit!

Overall enjoyment: My favorite scents in this box had to be – Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins and Christmas Gram! The others were just not for me, unfortunately, but that’s honestly okay by me because scent is a pretty personal thing and as long as I end up liking at least one new scent, then I’m happy. 🙂 If you received this box, don’t forget to check your email for the $10 coupon code! And if you’re interested in trying out these scents in full size products, the winter 2015 launch party is on November 13 at 6PM CST!
