First look!

This is a review for their Sakura/Japan box! You still pick it up from their shop. 🙂

Information sheet!

Super Cola Candy  – The outside is slightly sour (but not so much that you would feel like dying haha; definitely not as sour as a war head) and then the inside is chewy like a starburst. The cola flavor is very strong so if you love cola, then this is the perfect candy for you!

Meito Fish Wafer – This is amazing; think of a crunchy wafer exterior, encasing a sweet, strawberry white chocolate filling that just melts in your mouth. It is so light and airy! The strawberry filling tastes like the strawberry pocky. 😀 I would love to try more flavors of this!

Panda Cookies – THESE ARE SO CUTE! 😀 They’re made with both milk and white chocolate and in addition to being adorable, they’re also DELICIOUS. Definitely the perfect afternoon snack. It’s really hard to stop yourself from eating the entire pack in one sitting, in case you’re wondering. :p

They come in different faces too! 😄 (the first photo is the back of a panda)

Chocolate Cream Biscuits – Another perfect afternoon snack! I really don’t think you can go wrong with cookies and chocolate together. The information card suggests pairing these cookies with tea or coffee (though I think I’ll just have these as breakfast haha). These were REALLY good – they tasted like Chocolate Pocky in cookie form. 😄

Special Hi-Chew – I think this is a bitter orange flavor! It’s a special seasonal flavor, which is why this is awesome because it would be really hard to find here in the states. The coolest thing is that within the chewy candy, there are small gummy pieces in the same flavor for some textural difference. A great way to tame that sweet tooth without overindulging!

Flavor Burst Peach Gum – There are three pieces of peach gum inside… but one of them is supposed to be super sour. This is like Russian Roulette but with gumballs. 😄 One thing I love about Japanese gum is that they somehow never end up tough and chewy, instead they manage to stay soft the entire time, no matter how long you chew!

Umaibo Vegetable Flavor – I just absolutely LOVE these. They’re super crunchy and pack an amazing flavor. This is a savory vegetable flavored corn puff and I really want to try ALL of the flavors that they offer because I still have yet to find one I didn’t immediately enjoy. 😄

Lychee Gummy Candy – These are a throwback to my childhood because I always wanted a bag whenever we visited an Asian supermarket! I love these gummies in all sorts of flavors – kyoho grape, muscat, melon, strawberry, etc. 😄 But lychee is definitely one of my top favorites. They’re soft and slightly chewy and FULL of flavor.

The Sakura Set!

Overall enjoyment: This was such a great assortment of Japanese snacks and candy! If you don’t have a Japanese supermarket readily available/close by to you – this is an amazing box to try. And even if there is one nearby, this will save you the trouble of driving over and give you a surprise all in one!:D I loved that there was so much variety in flavors and textures… and I have to say my favorites were definitely the Umaibo corn puff treat and the Panda Cookies!

If you’re interested in giving this box a try – and the best thing is, this box is available for purchase (!) – then be sure to use BoxesForDays15 to get 15% off. How awesome is that? 🙂
