The March info sheet!

Boboli Original Crust ($4.99) – This was sitting at the very top of the box and I was like :O when I saw it because out of all the things to receive in a food box, I definitely wasn’t expecting this! 😄 I’ve seen these in grocery stores but never bought one because I’m usually too lazy to make my own pizza and will order it instead or I actually make pizza from scratch and proof the dough. Now I just need to find the right pizza sauce recipe, because all of these years, I’m still searching for the perfect one!

Good Thins in Sweet Potato ($3.69) – I love sweet potato so these were awesome! Crunchy, slightly salty, and earthy sweet. It’s definitely a fun and delicious snack to enjoy. 🙂 (random but I actually saw these in BEET flavor at the grocery store today!)

Paul’s Quinoa Bars in Nuts, Seeds & Honey ($7.49) – While I am not a fan of quinoa when it is used as a rice substitute, I love it in chocolate, toasted, or in desserts! These were stickier than I thought they would be, but the amazing thing is that you can actually taste every ingredient. The honey is so fantastic in this bar.

Loacker Tortina in Dark Chocolate ($3.99) – OH MY GOD YES. I love Loacker everything now thanks to DegustaBox. Previously I have only had their chocolate, but now that I’ve tried their wafers, their cookies, etc.? I can’t get enough. Their hazelnut cream is just the best (other than Nutella, of course). The dark chocolate is just the right amount of bitterness to counter the sweetness of the hazelnut cream.

Goya Quinoa Blend ($2.99) – This is the product of the month! Not going to lie, I’m a bit skeptical of  how good this will be because QUINOA. :p But I guess I’ll give it a try because it’s healthy, it looks easy enough to make, and I do like black beans/bell peppers. 😄

Tolerant Foods Green Lentil & Beet Pasta ($4.99) – This I am really excited about! Beets are naturally sweet and have an earthy flavor so if you have a more acidic tomato sauce, the two will complement each other very nicely. Penne is also one of my favorite pasta shapes, hehe, mostly because you can easily scoop a lot of sauce inside.

7 Days Soft Croissant in PB&J ($1.49) – INTERESTING! I’ve never see this brand before, but I love PB&J and you really can’t go wrong with croissants so I’m definitely going to enjoy trying this. 😀 It’ll be a perfect on-the-go breakfast for work.

Mrs. Thinster’s Cookie Thins in Chocolate Chip ($2.99) – These are really good and super addicting. 😄 They’re thin and crunchy so you’ll end up eating at least half a dozen before you’ve realized what you’ve done. These are a great substitute when you don’t have access to freshly baked cookies.

Energems in Min Dark Chocolate ($6.99) – I think I may have to give this to my brother because I am super sensitive to caffeine and I’d probably end up getting really wired just by eating one. 😄 If I drink a cup of coffee, I can stay up 24 hours no problem. It’s both a blessing and a curse, haha. The coolest thing about these energems is that they contain vitamin B and vitamin D! For those of us who work all day indoors at a desk and don’t get enough sunshine… we’re probably all vitamin D deficient (I know I am), so energems could at least help with that!

Lemoncocco ($1.59) – I need to find more of these ASAP. I downed this like water because it is SO GOOD. Lemonade is usually too tangy/acidic and coconut water is usually too “raw” tasting (if you know what I mean), but combine the two? YOU GET THIS AMAZING DRINK. Seriously, if you see this at your local grocery store, buy a can and try it!!!

Overall value: $41.20

Overall enjoyment: Another fun month! My favorites were undoubtedly the Lemoncocco, the Loacker Tortinas, and the Cookie Thins. The only sad thing was that their savory items all required cooking of some sort and I’m lazy. 😄 But that being said, their savory items all looked like fun to try – from the pizza crust to the beet pasta… and yes, even the quinoa blend, haha.

Coupon Code: Use DEGUSTA10 to take $10 off your first box, making it just $9.99!

  1. Just ate the peanut butter and jelly croissant for breakfast and not a huge fan of that one. Too much croissant, not enough filling. And the croissant was not the best either, where’s my buttery flakiness? The quiona bars were really good though, thumbs up on those. Haven’t tried the other items yet, but agree about having to cook them. 😦
