A most wonderful sight. 😀
The May info sheet!
Recipe idea on the back.
La Tortilla Factory Tortillas ($2.99) – If you like corn and flour tortillas, this is the one for you! It’s a mix of both and perfect for your next taco night. 😀
Mulino Bianco Tomato & Oregano Sfilati ($3.99) – I love these! They’re a more flavorful kind of breadstick that’s fun to snack on by themselves or as a side to your salad. They taste like pizzas to me, hehe. But be careful, they’re pretty addicting so you might end up eating a whole half dozen in one sitting. 😉
Mulino Bianco Galletti Shortbread Cookies ($2.99) – While I am not a fan of shortbread in general, these aren’t bad at all. I think what sets them apart from other shortbread is the sugar crystals sprinkled on top of each one! If you like shortbread, these are good for breakfast or with your tea/coffee. 🙂
Village Harvest Brown Basmati & Lentils ($3.29) – This is super easy and really quick to make! It only takes 15 minutes from start to finish so if your work schedule is hectic, this is great for getting those grains in for dinner.
Dandies All Natural Vanilla Marshmallows – This is vegan, gelatin free, gluten free, and fat free and IT IS SO GOOD. This is probably the best vegan dessert I’ve had. It’s denser and heavier than a normal marshmallow and I can’t get enough! I honestly never thought that a vegan marshmallow could be this good. Not even ashamed to admit that I ate the entire bag in one sitting. XD
Goya Lentil & Vegetable Soup ($1.99) – Another simple and fast fix for dinner or lunch! I think what’s really great about DegustaBox is that they will include easy-to-make meals that are also healthy alternatives to your usual TV dinner or fast food. This one is really hearty and flavorful!
Pure Growth Organic Oatmeal ($2.98) – I am always down to try more types of oatmeal! This instant oatmeal is made with 100% organic ingredients and comes in three different flavors (you’ll receive one flavor in your box). I’m actually glad that I received original because I like to choose what additional items I add into my oatmeal!
Soy Vay Asian Honey BBQ Marinade & Sauce ($4.99) – This is such a cool take on BBQ sauce! It combines soy sauce, your usual American-style BBQ sauce, and honey… and it’s pretty delicious. 🙂 I love using this to marinate chicken wings and drumsticks!
Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes ($2.29) – If you were subscribed to Degustabox last month, then you know this will go great with the tomato paste from the very same brand! I’d use both of these to make a killer sauce to go along with the next item…
Barilla Farfalle Pasta ($1.68) – How can you say no to pasta? 😉 Also an easy dinner to make – just boil the water for the pasta and get the sauce right! This is made with semolina and durum wheat flour.
Barilla Traditional Basil Pesto ($2.99) – And for nights you don’t want a tomato-based sauce… you can have pesto with your pasta instead! The recipe on the back of the info sheet is a great suggestion on what you can use this for.
Skinnygirl Mojito Mint ($4.99) – Like with last month, this is great for people who have Keurig machines! However, if you don’t have one, DegustaBox sent out the two following items instead so that you’re not stuck with a box of K-Cups you can’t use. Thus there were two different boxes sent out this month, one with the Skinnygirl product and one with the other products reviewed above.
DegustaBox was kind enough to send all the items for me to review here! But please note that your box will only contain one of the two variations.
Overall value: $30.18
Overall enjoyment: This box was interesting! I think it was the first box that had more “main meal” items than “snack” items, which is fun and different. I’m still in love with those marshmallows, which were actually a gift/extra. XD But seriously those marshmallows are MAGICAL.
Coupon Code: Use DEGUSTA10 to take $10 off your first box, making it just $9.99!
