From the Degusta Box team!

The December information sheet!

Garden of Life Gol Bar ($2.49) – I got one of these in the September box but that one was chocolate sea salt and this one is maple sea salt, so I’m interested to see if this one will measure up! I actually quite liked the last one and it was a hearty protein bar that helps you stay full.

G.H. Cretors Popped Corn The Mix ($1.79) – These bags of popcorn remind me of the giant tins of popcorn that they used to sell at Blockbuster’s around the holidays. XD My only wish for these mixes is a 2:1 ratio for cheese to caramel popcorn because I always want a little more savory compared to sweet when it comes to popcorn.

SunSpire Dark Chocolate Candies ($5.99) – This will go great with the bag of SunSpire peanut butter chips that I got in the October box (which I haven’t had a chance to use yet) so that I can make some chocolate-peanut butter chip cookies. 😀 And of course, I’ll end up just snacking on some as well because how can you resist?

Campfire Marshmallows in Fruit Flavored and Original ($0.50 and $2.50 respectively) – I LOVE MARSHMALLOWS! The smell of marshmallows just makes me smile and I love eating them plain, toasted, melted, etc. I can’t wait to just enjoy these straight out of the bag. It’s been ages since I’ve had fruit-flavored marshmallows and this definitely brings back childhood memories.

Hu Chocolate in Crunchy Mint Dark Chocolate ($5.99) – This is a vegan and paleo chocolate bar. :O This is honestly quite amazing as there is no palm oil, refined sugar, cane sugar, sugar alcohols, dairy, gluten, emulsifiers, or soy lecithin. There were three flavors you could have received based on the photo in the info sheet and I’m kind of sad I didn’t get the Vanilla Quinoa Crispy Dark Chocolate one because I love quinoa in chocolate. It’s not bad, but I will say it wasn’t as “creamy” as normal chocolate; however it’s not as chalky as other vegan chocolates.

Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Magic Seasoning Blends ($3.00) – I have never heard of this guy before, but I’m always willing to try a new seasoning blend! The ingredients say “spices, salt, garlic, onion, paprika” so I guess you’ll have to guess what the spices are. XD
On the back of the info sheet, there’s even a recipe for braised chicken thighs using this seasoning.
Vahdam Teas ($5.99 for a box of 15 tea bags) – This is a sampler so it includes 5 different teas; turmeric spiced herbal, chamomile mint citrus green, India’s original chai, organic himalayan green, and darjeeling summer black.
All perfect for the cold winter weather!
Bahlsen Iced Cinnamon Stars ($4.99) – I loved the last Bahlsen item so I’m really looking forward to this one! These are perfect for winter; cinnamon cookies always evokes memories of the holidays. 🙂 They’re made with cinnamon AND hazelnuts so it’s an extra layer of flavor.

Dave’s Gourmet Hot Sauce in Creamy Ginger Citrus ($6.99) – Hot sauce isn’t for me because I don’t really eat spicy foods (I mean, I’ll eat hot cheetos…), so I’ll probably pass this one onto my brother. This hot sauce is made with jalapenos, lime, and ginger.

Chimes Ginger Chews in Original ($1.99) – Not a huge fan of ginger, so I’ll pass this one on as well. But these would be good to bring with you on a trip if you have motion sickness!

The December 2018 Degusta Box!

Overall enjoyment: I think I’m going to have to bake something with these marshmallows and the dark chocolate sundrops! I know people might be slightly disappointed with the lack of savory snacks in this box, but not me! I have a huge sweet tooth and I can’t wait to indulge in all of the sweets included this month, after all it’s holiday season. 🙂
