Nina Garcia Quarterly #NGQ06 SPOILERS!

!32

So it’s been a while since the last Nina Garcia Quarterly box update because it’s been a while since there’s been anything concrete/important enough to post. (And also because I wasn’t too impressed with the last two boxes…) BUT ANYWAY. Here’s an actual spoiler from Quarterly themselves! Every subscriber will receive a Chic Buds Clutchette ($49.99) – colors may vary.

And here’s a video on how it works.

Also, this box’s theme is “Travel Essentials” and it will include her favorite on-the-go beauty products and a few tech gadgets that she cannot live without.

The fun thing is that this box has been pushed back time and time again… so I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t end up shipping until December. :p Right now it’s rumored to be shipping out in early October, but when I went on the Quarterly website, it said November 2015. So… who knows? It’ll come when it comes, I guess. But the good thing about Quarterly is that they don’t charge your credit card until the box ships so even if you sign up now, you won’t be charged.

I did resubscribe, but maybe I’ll unsubscribe haha. You can unsubscribe any time before the box ships!

Nina Garcia Quarterly #NGQ05 FULL SPOILERS!

[photo credit to princesspants on Instagram!]

We now have the full spoilers for Nina Garcia’s fifth Quarterly box, NGQ05, thanks to princesspants’ unboxing photo on Instagram! This box promised luxe hair care and it really delivered on hair care. XD Literally every single item is a hair product. If you ordered this box, you will get the following:

Fekkai PRX Reparatives Hair Mask
Harry Josh Pro Tools Oval Brush
L’Oreal Ultimate Straight Protecting Balm
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Protector
Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer Pre Shampoo Treatment
Redken Extreme Length Sealer
Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Primer
Sachajuan Hair Repair
Serge Normant Dream Big Instant Volumizing Spray
Shu Uemura Volume Maker
+ some sort of hair clip???

Well, this is the first time she has not included a nail polish in her box. XD In any case, I’m so glad I passed up on this box as it is totally not worth $100 to me, even if the value of all the items is well over the cost of the box. I would much rather take that $100 and spend it on Fortune Cookie Soap, Rachel Zoe’s Box of Style, or even a Popsugar Limited Edition box. But you know, that’s just me. I think my hair is perfectly fine with my current routine and so I really wouldn’t be able to justify spending $100 on hair care products. With all that said, there was definitely a much better reception to this box than the last one, but I’m still going to stay canceled for now unless her next box promises a better theme.

Nina Garcia Quarterly #NGQ04 FULL SPOILERS!

Capture

Thanks to Leslief25 on MUT, we now have full spoilers for #NGQ04!

5 ml Progenius Nude Oil
Deux Lux Joplin Circle Messenger in Navy
Black Stocking-Type Cap that reads “BALLIN PARIS”
The Laundress Sweater Comb
RGB Nail Polish in Deep
Rue Gembon earrings. (Large pearl studs with a bronze horn backing)
2013 Pantone coffee mug

Personally, I’m very disappointed in this box. We waited and waited… and we thought that meant we would be rewarded with a really amazing box, but were we? Nope. Not at all. This is a far cry from her first three boxes and I think it’s really a shame that this has happened. There could be variations, but no updates on that so far. Honestly, as it stands, I’d much rather have spent this $100 on the Popsugar Special Edition For Her box. :/

Edit to add:

Can I vent? Because I really want to. This box? Not even worth $50 because of the number of weeks it was overdue. At first, I naively thought that the wait would be reasonable because hey, Nina Garcia is a busy person and there was a lot going in the last two months. So you know, I should be patient and have faith that her fourth box would be just as awesome as her last three. But that all went out the door when I saw what was chosen to be included in the box. The “value” of the box is there with the bag and the oil, but that’s it… and I’m not really much a face oil person.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in a beanie that has such bold, capitalized words emblazoned across the fringe. I don’t need a sweater comb – and even if I did, I’d just buy it by itself on Amazon. I don’t wear nail polish so that’s not worth anything to me. I don’t have pierced ears and I don’t plan to pierce my ears anytime soon, so I can’t get any use from the earrings. I don’t need a coffee mug because I am perfectly happy with my Bodum mugs that are much higher in quality.

I’ve already emailed Quarterly to ask for a return label and a refund because I am just honestly pissed off at the selection of items. Sorry Nina, but this is a huge disappointment and I’m surprised that this was the result after so many weeks of waiting. Unsubscribed for now.

What is this post? Well… I do subscribe to a few boxes and there are inevitably things I won’t like or won’t use, so what do I do with them? I trade! (and okay, sometimes I will sell things too) But I really love trading, especially when I can get things I’ve coveted while I get rid of things I know I don’t want. So here’s just a quick post about things I’ve recently traded for!

Nina Garcia Quarterly #NGQ04 Spoiler!

Screen Shot 2014-10-24 at 11.50.48 PM

Quarterly has finally announced a spoiler for the Nina Garcia Quarterly #NGQ04 box!

From Quarterly’s Facebook: “In line with the theme of Winter Essentials, Nina’s next box includes NUDE Skincare’s ProGenius Treatment Oil, a hydrating facial oil rich in omegas and natural oils that smooths and refreshes skin.”

No extra information on whether this is the full size (1 oz), which retails for $78 or the half size (0.5 oz), which retails for $39. Regardless, I’m kind of excited about this product due to all the great reviews on Sephora.

This box is hopefully going to ship in the first week of November and it is currently sold out so congratulations to those who are getting! For those who aren’t so lucky, definitely keep an eye out on the Quarterly page and sign up for the wait list if you’re interested in subscribing! Sometimes Quarterly will add additional boxes.

Nina Garcia Quarterly #NGQ04 “Spoilers” and Updates!

Screen Shot 2014-10-08 at 1.49.41 AM

So… there aren’t any concrete spoilers for Nina Garcia’s fourth Quarterly Box (#NGQ04), but we do have some vague hints and a timeline! Oh and I believe the email I took a screenshot of was sent to everyone who was a subscriber in August.

First off, this box will be centered around winter essentials.

Second, the box will ship in October. And actually, someone on MUT was kind enough to email Quarterly to ask for specifics, so now we know that subscribers will be billed during the week of the 20th and the box will ship out on the 24th. So if you’re still on the fence about subscribing, you have time to decide! (but remember that all of her previous boxes have sold out and if you miss out, then you’ll be put on a wait list and there’s no guarantee)

Third, this Instagram post from Quarterly themselves gives us at least a vague hint about something that will be in the box. I’m seriously hoping that “some sparkle” means jewelry and not sparkly nail polish. XD Nina Garcia has included a bottle nail polish in every single one of her past boxes so I’m prepared to receive yet another one, but I definitely have my fingers crossed for some kind of necklace or bracelet. 🙂

That’s about all I know! But I can’t wait for full spoilers, depending on who gets their box first. 😀
