This box has 6 full size items! (I was just a little sad that there wasn’t a sheet mask, but hey! 6 full size items is nothing to scoff at). I didn’t really know what to expect in this box, but I was definitely hoping for skincare. 😀

Product Description
Protects skin from UVA/UVB rays, guards against premature signs of aging, and counteracts redness and blemishes to create the perfect canvas for makeup application.

How to use
On a cleansed face, use 2 to 3 pumps of Tone Up SunGel and massage all over the skin. Use alone for a sheer finish, or use it under makeup for long-lasting makeup stay, and sun protection.

elRoel Tone Up Sungel SPF 50+ PA+++ Green (50 ml, $43 – but on sale for $13) – I’m not going to lie… I kind of expected some sort of sunscreen in this box since Asian beauty very much revolves around pale skin. (I mean, there are sun umbrellas with special UV protection and those sun visors that look like welding masks specifically for Asian women so that they can keep their skin pale and away from the sun. My mom owns both of those items, haha. XD)

If you click on the link above, you’ll see some awesome swatches that Memebox has thoughtfully provided on their website. It basically smells like sunscreen (which is to be expected) but it’s not as sticky as sunscreen (thankfully!). It does give your skin a slight “dewy” complexion but that just means you’ll glow and be radiant! (or if you hate that, you can cover it up with some matte makeup)

Product Description
A richly concentrated anti-wrinkle facial cream formulated with a blend of poppy extracts, vitamin peptide, collagen, green tea water, Damascus rose water, and centella asiatica. Smooth out sagging skin, brighten up dulled complexion, and rejuvenate stressed-out skin with the best of Hiello Blooming Multi Firming cream!

How to use
Apply a small amount of the cream directly to clean face. For an overnight pampering treatment once a week, thickly coat face with the cream, massage it gently, and take your beauty sleep without washing it off.

Hiello Blooming Multi Firming Cream (50 ml/1.7 fl oz, $50) – I was a little apprehensive when I saw rose water… because I’m not the biggest fan of rose-scented products. But fortunately for me, this smells nothing like roses! In fact, it actually smells kind of like toothpaste to me. XD Like a floral toothpaste. I know that’s not the best description, but it smells good! A little goes a long way for this product and it is slightly sticky after you massage it into your skin, but this is a heavier cream so that’s to be expected.

I’m really excited to start trying this! I’ve actually never used a firming/brightening/anti-wrinkling cream before (because I don’t have any wrinkles or sagging skin… yet), but I think it’s time to start because prevention is the way to go. It’s better to keep something from happening than to try and fix something after it’s happened, after all.

Product Description
A peeling gel designed specifically to target dry and sensitive skin types. Regular peeling products contains unnecessary ingredients which makes it look like a lot of dead skin cells and skin impurities are rubbing away when applied. The Tang Tang Kissy Skin Therapy Peeling Wash boosts its gentle, nourishing formula made from only naturally-derived ingredients minus all the unnecessary skin detriments.

How to use
Spread an adequate amount of the peeling gel over dried face. Rest for about 40 seconds and just before it begins to harden, gently massage nose, cheeks, and the rest of the face. Rinse off with lukewarm water. Do not use a soap or foam cleanser.

DSC_1104

The Tang Tang Kissy Skin Therapy Peeling Wash (100 ml, $23) – Oh man this is so cool! If you’ve used Sonya Dakar’s Flash Facial or the Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel, then you know how to use this product! I have mixed feelings about peeling gels because I really hated the Sonya Dakar but loved the Real Chemistry. I think it really depends on your skin type and how harsh or gentle the peel is.

Personally I prefer ones that are gentler so as not to feel like my face is burning off. Regardless, peeling gels are super fun because you can literally see the gel start to turn grey or some other unsavory color as you start to massage/rub it off your face. I highly suggest them and peeling masks (which are fun because it’s like shedding a layer of skin).

And… this is a very huge tube and will last a long, long time. XD

Kskin Emu Leg R-Free Massage Cream (100 g, $46) – I’m not sure if I like this product or if it’s even… useful for me. I mean, it’s a massage cream so I guess it could be used after a strenuous workout, especially since it has a cooling effect!

But I don’t understand why this would be considered Korea’s Most Wanted. Surely massage creams aren’t that popular? Maybe it’s the slimming effect that has raised its popularity? I honestly have no idea. XD But I wouldn’t be averse to trying it! Subscription boxes are all about branching out to try things you never would have thought to buy or things you never would have otherwise discovered.

Product Description
Create weightless, color-saturated lips when you smooth on this LadyKin One Touch Bling Glow Lipstick. It glides on silky smooth and leaves lips glamorized with captivating color radiance in just a single stroke.

How to use
Start with a touch of color at the center of the lips, and slowly spread to the outer corners.

DSC_1114

Ladykin One Touch Bling Glow Lipstick in Fall Rose (3.5 g, $11) – Ahhhh! This is gorgeous. So gorgeous (please see photo below!) I love lipsticks that are just subtle enough to be noticed and this falls nicely under that category. The color is beautiful and it smells faintly of strawberries. I’m super happy with the color I received because the other two shades were darker and bolder than what I would have liked in an every day lipstick. It’s super smooth and the pigmentation is great – you can really build color with layers!

(and I know that this link doesn’t work, but I wanted to link back to Memebox)

Product Description
A richly concentrated facial serum that deeply moisturizes and smoothens out uneven skin tone with the power of calendula eden complex consisting of calendula extracts and hyaluronic acid.

How to use
After toner & emulsion application, spread an adequate amount of the essence evenly over face and gently pat it in with your fingertips for full absorbance.

DSC_1118

The Face Shop Calendula Eden Essential Moisture Essence (35 ml, $9) – I’m surprised at how cheap this is and also at how much I like it. XD This has a very thin consistency and it absorbs super quickly! The scent is hard to pin down because one minute it smells floral to me and then it smells like cucumber. It really leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft! I’m definitely going to be adding this to my daily skincare routine.

Overall value: $152.00

Overall enjoymentThis box definitely delivered in value and had a fun variety of products! But I do have to say that I wasn’t completely wowed by it (at least, not in the same way I have been in the past by other Memeboxes). Maybe it’s because my standards are now too high after that My Honey Memebox (hehe). XD But in all honesty, I did enjoy this box! It’s wonderful in that it is predominantly skincare (sunscreen, firming cream, peeling wash, moisture essence… even that massage cream!) and it has a lip product – which is my favorite kind of makeup item. 🙂

Unfortunately January codes have not been released yet! But I’ll definitely make a post when they’re out. For now, you can peruse their offered boxes/products and start making a list. 😀

THE JANUARY CODE IS OUT! 🙂

1. January $3 coupon code on $30 or more (S&H and taxes do not apply): V2LX7B
