The May Glossybox was a collaboration between Glossybox and Bergdorf Goodman! Hence the different colored box. 😀 It’s a really beautiful purple and for some reason my camera really couldn’t capture it (I blame the lighting haha, always blame the lighting!) so I put a normal pink Glossybox next to it so you could get a better idea of what shade it is.
As always, impeccable packaging!
Each box came with a $25 gift card to Bergdorf Goodman! You can stack them, there’s no minimum purchase needed, and you can use them on anything! The only catch is that they expire on June 15th, so you definitely need to start putting things in your cart in preparation because Glossybox usually has a delayed shipping time line. :p
BUT… MIRACLE OF ALL MIRACLES! I actually got my MAY Glossyboxes in MAY. This has never happened before. NEVER. I doubt it’ll happen again, but if it does… I might just change my mind about Glossybox. I’m still shocked that they actually made it to me before June. Granted, they did arrive on the last day of May, but I’ll take it.
First look at my May Glossybox!
Lancer Lift Serum Intense (Deluxe sample size: 5 ml/0.16 fl oz, $55) – I don’t really know what to say about this, except for the fact that it’s EXPENSIVE. XD I haven’t used it yet but I think this is going to be interesting to try. I love skin care so I’m definitely excited to start using this!
Alterna CAVIAR CC Cream (Deluxe sample size: 25 ml/0.84 oz, $8.40) – This smells AMAZING. It reminds me of Toni & Guy’s Casual Sea Salt Texturizing Spray. I honestly just love how it smells and I hope that it works really well too because it’s not too expensive for the full size ($25). My hair is pretty healthy for the most part and so I’m going to pass along a tube of this to my mom, who will hopefully see faster results than I would with my hair!
Aerin Beauty Rose Hand & Body Cream (Deluxe sample size: 15 ml/0.5 fl oz, $4.76) – I wanted this even though I don’t like rose or floral-scented products because I just really like lotions and creams. XD To my surprise, it isn’t as overpowering or terrible as I thought it might be. It’s pretty floral, but it’s also very sweet when it dries down. It’s definitely not your typical artificial rose fragrance (which gives me headaches)… it kind of reminds me of a blend between rose/lychee with an emphasis on rose. It’s like a rose-lychee macaron!
Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer (Deluxe sample size: 15 ml/0.5 fl oz, $13.50) – I don’t know if I have a use for this because I don’t regularly wear make-up. Like, at all. XD But this goes on nicely (it’s very light) and it is scented, but the fragrance goes away quickly. I really like the black/gold packaging.
ReVive Intensite Volumizing Eye Serum (Deluxe sample size: 3 ml/0.1 fl oz, $70) – Whoo boy, this is expensive too. I really loved the ReVive product I received in Nina Garcia’s box so I’m really happy that every box was promised at least one kind of ReVive item! This is supposed to help with diminishing dark circles and under-eye bags so I’m definitely giving at least one to my mom because she always complains about those exact problems. XD
Sulwhasoo Timetreasure Renovating Cream (Deluxe sample size: 5 ml/ 0.16 fl oz, $33.33) – This was definitely one item I really wanted in my box this month and I’m really, really happy to have received it! This is so refreshing. It smells like fresh earth to me and I think it’s lovely. If you like gardening, I think you’d be more than okay with how it smells! It also kind of reminds me of ginseng and lotus. It’s a Korean brand and it’s targeted to making your skin soft and youthful.
So remember how I said I bought three Glossyboxes this month? WELL THEY ALL ARRIVED TODAY. And for better or for worse, I received three identical boxes! Which means I received three of every product pictured. 😀 I think I’m actually happier about this because if you look back at what I said I wanted… you’ll see that I did receive a good majority of what I wanted. 🙂
Honestly when I made that list, I didn’t really know much about the Lancer product so I just went with the one that had a more interesting description. XD I do wish that I had received a box with the Lancome in it but reading reviews online says that it’s rose-scented and it’s a heavy rose scent so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise to not have received it. XD
REGARDLESS, I’m just excited about the products and the fact that with three boxes, I have $75 in gift cards to spend at Bergdorf Goodman! I think I know what I’m getting, but I’ll need to call Bergdorf Goodman on Monday to work out the details on one of the custom items.

Overall enjoyment: Yeah, I don’t think Glossybox can ever beat this month for me! Early delivery, high end products, and a $25 gift card? Nope. This is the most amazing month and I don’t see how any month after this can measure up to it. I haven’t truly tested any of these products yet, but the value and the packaging and the pure luxury of this box make me happy. 😀 Not to mention the three gorgeous Bergdorf Goodman boxes that I now have! After receiving these boxes, I’m almost regretful that I didn’t buy a fourth box this month. XD

I ordered one for me, and I gifted one in my hedgehog’s name (I wasn’t sure if they check to see that you just are ordering extras – and now if my hedgie gets catalogs/direct mail I’ll know who sold her info). The one ‘she’ got was way better than mine. I do wish I’d ordered a 3rd because my box didn’t have the CC cream that the other box did and I really liked that. I do like the primer, and the revive is really nice even though I’d NEVER pay that sort of money for anything w/o an Apple logo. I’m tempted to take my $50 BG gift cards and buy their version of the Glossybox.. this definitely made me feel better about April’s box.
I use initials when gifting boxes but I think Glossybox knows that people enjoy buying extras so they won’t look too closely at the names/addresses! Haha, maybe you should start ordering all your gift boxes in your hedgehog’s name. 😉

LOL I totally agree with the Apple logo comment (huge Apple consumer/convert here). Also, if you’re okay with paying “real” money instead of using the gift cards, there are people selling their May Glossyboxes on eBay! Of course, proceed with caution/check reviews and all that, but if you have other things you want to buy with your gift cards, you have another place to buy a third box. 🙂
LOL April’s box was a joke in comparison to this month but I do hope that June will be relatively good. 😀
My hedgie (ha!) and the box I sent as a gift to my sister (real person) were the same. We 4 of the same items you had: the Alterna Caviar CC Cream, the Revive, the Lancer, the Primer. Then we had this icky scented fragrance that reminded me of the Scent 7 from the March box, and we had the Chanticalle lip gloss (cute mini size, bright pink color – I was hoping for mascara). The box that was my actual subscription one had the other Revive cream (green packaging), the Lancer, the Primer, the awful fragrance, Lancome cream in the cutest smallest package (I traded it already though as it was something I don’t want to like it because of the price tag, and some cream rinse – which I’m too scared to use because I get highlights and lowlights and if I am not sure that something is safe for color treated hair then I’m not going to use it.
Side note, I’ve fallen head over heels in love with the Alterna products that I’ve gotten in Glossybox. I’m still spending too much time trying to figure out how to spend my $50 BG gift cards, but I’ve since learned you can use them on Needless Markups page as well or even their Last Call site – and NM has a Clinique purchase with purchase offer ($34.50 with any Clinique purchase).
If June turns out to be good I think I may gift myself one again just to see the difference. I did the same w/ Birchbox this month (thinking I’d get to use the Kate Spade necklace coupon – which it took, but maybe it didn’t work with gift subscriptions, or 3-month subs, so never got it) anyway my Birchbox was better than the one I gifted to my other hedgie 😉
Oh god, if the Atelier reminded you of the Scent 7, then I’m really glad I didn’t get it because that scent gave me a terrible headache. 😦
Despite that, I think you received some really awesome variations between your boxes! (especially getting both ReVive products!) Maybe I should have gifted one to myself using a different name instead of initials. :p But looking back, I’m actually happy with what I received since I didn’t really want the mascaras, lip gloss, or fragrance. XD
You should definitely give the CC Cream a try! I gave one to my mom and she said she loved it. I tried it yesterday and really liked it too. 🙂
Ohhh, good catch with the Clinique GWP! I’ve spent $55 of my $75 gift cards and am currently trying to see what else I want… from BG, NM, or NM Last Call.
Ugh, the Kate Spade necklace… I did that too and I still don’t have the necklace yet. 😦 The CS rep that I spoke to said it was going to ship out in 4 weeks (from around the order date) so… I have no idea if I’ll ever get it. And hahaha it’s a competition between you and your hedgehog to see who can get the better box. 😉
I’m super jealous of your Sulwhasoo! I still have one more box out there floating. I wish it had the Chantecaille gloss but it has the Hourglass mascara instead :*(
I’m jealous of your Lancome! XD Hopefully you get your last box soon! I think only people in the first wave of boxes got the Chantecaille gloss. 😦
